Backflow Prevention Certifying and Testing
A backflow prevention device is used to protect water supplies from contamination or pollution. In the United States, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) holds local water suppliers responsible for maintaining a certain amount of purity in potable water systems. Many states and/or local municipalities require annual testing of backflow prevention assemblies. These devices may be attached to your irrigation system, water powered back up sump pumps or hot water or steam heating systems. Depending on your city or township you will be notified when this testing needs to occur. Hutzel Company employs State of Michigan certified testers when your need arises.
